With ‘The Flight Attendant,' Kaley Cuoco addresses the dangers of a job.
Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco explains why she wanted to pursue The Flight Attendant and spread her imaginative wings because "I don't think anybody would have recruited me."
“Going into Flight Attendant, I wasn't trying to say Big Bang Theory never existed and I'm going to be this new actor,” she said candidly in an interview with Metro UK.
“In reality, I wasn't ruling out the possibility of doing another sitcom. “The Flight Attendant was just the right project at the right time,” says the author.
“I was taking a chance because I don't think anyone would have hired me for this part,” she says. I could have auditioned and even given the best audition of my life, but I doubt anyone would have cast me in this role. So I decided to demonstrate that I am capable of doing more and that I enjoy it. And it was a calculated gamble that I'm happy I took.”
Cuoco, on the other hand, knew she had the skills to bring the role to life through her own production company, Norman Productions.”
“Because it was my daughter, I was sick to my stomach the night before the show aired. I've been working on this for a long time, and you want everybody to like your baby.”
“I knew that coming off such a good show, people would judge me and challenge my decision. By the way, it wouldn't have mattered what decision I made; it would have been questioned.”
“I also decided early on in my heart that I couldn't compare anything to Big Bang, and that freed me up because Big Bang was so unique and special; that whole scenario couldn't be compared. We can't equate it to something, so it gave me a lot of leeway.”
“However, I had a lot of ups and downs. There were days when I thought to myself, "Oh man, people are going to love this," and then there were days when I cried myself to sleep, wishing I had never discovered the book. “What am I thinking?” says the narrator. Oh, my God!” exclaims the speaker.
